Today, ILLENIUM releases the official remix package for his latest single “Pray” featuring Kameron Alexander. Get it HERE via Astralwerks.
On the project, he recruits Blanke, Sam Lamar, and Frequent to lend their talents to the track. Lamar’s take twists and turns from haunting, soulful evocations towards a climactic and caustic dubstep break. Meanwhile, Blanke imbues rollercoaster-size, high-octane energy into the original. Glitchy transmissions blanket Frequent’s interpretation of the tune, upholding its soaring and searing melodies. Each remix adds another new dimension to “Pray.”
Becoming a fan favorite, the original is approaching 5 million global streams. Maintaining a tradition of larger-than-life visuals, the “Pray” music video also ignited a gripping longform narrative. Check it out: https://Illenium.lnk.to/PrayVideo
At the same time, “Pray” garnered widespread critical praise. EDM.com claimed, “ILLENIUM is known to deliver soulful, melodic electronica and this latest release lives up to his reputation,” and Dancing Astronaut wrote, “Ever adept at striking a balance between expressive supplicatory lyrics, temperate melodies, and bass, ILLENIUM illustrates his ability to seamlessly blend these elements in his new single, ‘Pray’.” Run the Trap summed it up best as “the type of track that is guaranteed to be an emotional ride in a live setting.”
Additionally, ILLENIUM unveils the music video for his previous single “Crashing” [feat. Bahari]. A continuation of the “Pray” story, Bahari sing under the glow of streetlights in the dead of night as cars speed towards each other on a collision course. The sonic eloquence offsets the cinematic intensity as the video immediately entrances and engages. Watch it now: https://Illenium.lnk.to/CrashingVideo
